Terms and Conditions

It is mutually agreed that the following terms of agreement form an integral part of this contract and that no variation or modification of this contract shall be effective unless accepted and agreed by both parties in writing. This is an order for photography, digital storage package, and (if ordered) a printed album.

Booking Fee

A non-refundable reservation fee of £300 or €300 is required when the client signs contract. Dates are reserved only when the booking fee is paid and the contract form is signed. This fee is deducted (in full) from the total price. The fee covers work carried out to book the client and also to hold the date from other potential jobs. The client will confirm which package they require within 1 month of the wedding. 

Payments: The remaining balance for photography must be completed by 30 days prior to the wedding ceremony. Payments for additional photographs or other products can be made at time of order. Any bank charges incurred due to returned cheques /unpaid debits will be charged to the client.

Weather changes: weather permitting; the wedding photographs will be taken as agreed. In the event of rain or snow or any form of weather disturbances, the photographer will make the necessary changes in the photographic session and will not be responsible for any disappointment caused by the weather or lack of provision of suitably large and well lit alternative indoor facilities by client.

Requested Coverage. The client understands and accepts that the photographic coverage will be as the photographers’ professional expertise determines and that no one photograph will be deemed more important than another. The photographer will honor all photographs requested and agreed in advance, or requested on the day, providing the following factors are met: weather and allocated time permitting, availability and co- operation of the person/s concerned, and must be within the photographers style. It is advised by Steven Neeson Photography that 2 hours is adequate for wedding photography on the day. More time should be left for travel, talking with hotel management, checking in, refreshments etc. 

Retouching. Retouching, digital manipulation and artist finishing is available to the client as an optional extra at further charge.

Time: the photographer cannot be held responsible for the lack of coverage caused by a bride, a groom or wedding party not being on time or not adhering to photography instruction, or by the Church, registry office, or licensed place of wedding restrictions regarding photography.The photographer does not undertake to guarantee any specific picture or incorporate any specific background, location or group arrangement.

The Photographers. On occasions and without notice it may be necessary for the photographer(s) originally specified to be substituted by another photographer(s) (e.g. due to ill health). The stand in photographer will be a qualified member of the Professional Photographers Association of Northern Ireland (PPANI).

Copyright: the copyright of all photographs produced is retained Steven Neeson’s as the photographer(s) under terms of the COPYRIGHT, DESIGNS and PATENTS ACT 1988. Original files remain the property of the photographer. The Client understands that the photographs are for their personal use and not for any commercial use unless authorised by Steven Neeson in writing.

Sole Rights. Steven Neeson shall be the sole professional (still) photographer at the venue specified. The client will assist the photographers in ensuring that no photographs are taken of poses arranged by the photographers and that guest’ s photographs are taken at a specific interval which is convenient to the photographer(s). Steven Neeson takes all main bridal and family shots away from the presence of wedding party guests due to allocated time and professionalism. If the client does not adhere to this request, Steven Neeson Photography cannot be held responsible for lack of photographs taken or peoples gaze / attention not looking at the camera.

License. The photographer(s) shall be granted complete artistic license including in relation to the poses photographed and the locations used, and album design. The photographer’s judgment regarding the locations/poses and the number of images taken and album design shall be final. The client hereby gives the photographer complete artist license regarding the design of the album and the photographer will use his/her skill and expertise to design the album layouts and each client’s album will be therefore individual to that client. Images may be cropped. All image sizes are nominal. We reserve the right to change suppliers of our products should the need arise, in which case a suitable alternative of the same value will be offered.

Display. The client hereby allows the photographers to display any images included in this contract in their studios, portfolios, literature, wedding exhibitions and advertising and in magazines.

Cancellation: The client may cancel this contract at any time by giving written notice to the photographers and the cancellation fee shall be as follows: cancellation charges will be 70% percent of the total package fee due if 3 months or less from the event, 3months 1 day to 6 months is 50% & more than 6 months & one day is loss of booking fee. The said sum will shall become payable as compensation as an estimate of the loss of revenue that the photographer would suffer. Should a cancelled wedding turnout to be a postponement, at the discretion of the photographer and subject to their availability, all money paid may be applied to the new wedding. In this case the total fees chargeable shall be the fee which applies at the time of the re-engagement of the photographer(s).

Time: Steven Neeson Photography will provide proofs of the wedding photographs in a timely manner ie within 8 weeks post wedding providing payment has been made in full. Steven Neeson Photography reserves the right to increase this time in busy periods.

Image manipulation is not a part of this contract and will be quoted separately. Steven Neeson Photography will edit the colour correction, exposure correction and other minimal corrections at his own discretion. Removal of persons, liquifying, removing tattoos, removing of objects and smoothing of skin is not included in wedding prices. 

Album Selection and Print: The client must choose their photographs for the album within 6 months of the wedding day. After this Steven Neeson will use his professional opinion to select album images - the client will be notified upon completion. All albums must be signed off digitally in writing before ordering.
